Spring is almost upon us! With high humidity here in Los Angeles, these rainy days have had me thinking about the moisture in our eyelash rooms. As the seasons change, how are you creating the perfect balance of humidity for your eyelash extension work?

Setting the Atmosphere

The ideal humidity in your eyelash space is 40-60%. The first step to ensuring you’ve got the right humidity is having a humidifier.

Mini Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

This is the one we have, and love to use, here at Glad Lash.

Glad Lash Hygrometer and Thermometer

This is a great temperature and humidity gauge to have on hand, too.

Adding plants to your work space is another great idea to consider. Through a process called transpiration, plants - when well cared for - are a great way to regulate humidity (and beauty).

Mist Those Lashes

To make sure your client walks out with the best glue bond - exposing your great lash work - use a nano-mister or nebulizer. As you may have heard, giving your clients lashes a little mist can speed up glue curing time from 72 hours, to just six hours! That’s a huge perk in ensuring lash retention and client happiness! An alternative to the trusty nano-mister is the nebulizer. The nebulizer breaks down water particles providing a fine mist. Using a nebulizer lessens the risk of getting too much condensation, or - heaven forbid - a whole water droplet on your fresh lash work! Most nebulizers are used for medical purposes, and seem to be very durable, and easy to refill. Let us know your tips for reaching that perfect humidity level in your lash rooms. ;) xo
