Brow Artist Tip: Client Education
Knowing the facts and history around what you do creates space for client education. Engaging a client through sharing makes the selling of services and products derive from a different place than just ‘trying’ to up sell. Instead, you are giving them all the information to make a choice that resonates with them.
Reverence for your client – versus an appetite to sell – sells services and products organically. The more educated your client is, the more likely they are to become a standing client, and one that is loyal. In return, they will refer you more good clients! Here are my two favorite eyebrow facts that you should be sharing too:
Brow Fact #1
Having brows that cover the brow bone makes for a more youthful look.
Learning to create zombies, in special fx makeup school, is when I truly learned the art of making people beautiful. When applying makeup to make someone look old you expose the brow bone. Thankfully, over-tweezing has gone out of style. As beauty industry leaders, let’s never make it cool again to have thin brows! My favorite way to keep brows looking full is with a bi-weekly Refectocil appointment. Check out my Brows 101 article for tips on how to design perfect eyebrows.
Brow Fact #2
Having fuller brows, could in fact, help you rule your world.
Not only does having fuller brows make you look younger, it subconsciously evokes a perception of a higher placement in society. “Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality“, by Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá (an interesting read), discusses female swellings in a way that is very relevant to the beauty industry. Specifically, brows and lashes, and other hair enhancements! In the modern world, with Instagram for example, we see this becoming more and more apparent.
What’s your favorite method for creating voluminous brows? How many of you out there are microblading now? Pin your social media handle in the comments below! I would love to take a peek 🙂
And, keep in mind, the most important element to being beautiful is being confident. No photo filter will ever replace the beauty of a happy heart. Be a mirror to radiate empowerment for your clients! Wishing you happy trails, and be-you-tiful brows.
