As a lash artist, it's important that you feel supported by your chosen lash supplier. Are the products consistently high quality and well priced? Do they provide resources for you to further your career? Is the customer service there when you need it? Last week while getting my nails done, a woman in the chair next to me mentioned she was an eyelash artist. My ears perked up. She went on to say the stress she’s experiencing on her body is daunting, all while she’s frustrated about not being a ‘faster artist’. I asked her some questions and began to help her solve her problem. Turns out, she’s only been an eyelash artist for a year. For all you newbies out there, self-compassion and patience are key! In addition, there are other elements we discovered during our problem-solving session that may resonate with you as well.

1. Decrease Fatigue with Proper Chair and Table Alignment

Hunching over too much is going to make you slower. While working, your knees and thighs should be able to fit all the way underneath your table for optimal posture. Does the client seem too far away? The lash pillow is a great investment to solve the distance! Also, don't be afraid to ask your client to move when needed.

2. Get a Company You Can Trust For Your ALL Your Supplies

With lots of companies out there, I have found a home at Glad Lash for high-quality products I can trust and confidently recommend. Not only does Glad Lash provide quality products with friendly service, they also create value for artists by offering high-quality education opportunities and resources for lash technicians of all skill levels via this blog and training classes. I am so happy to have met a new eyelash colleague who’s now a Glad Girl. I just got a text from her saying that she’s getting faster at her job and that she is loving Glad Lash's new lash lock adhesive :) yay!
