Want to naturally promote hair growth for fabulous hair, lashes, and brows? The weather is heating up – a time when it’s quite normal to experience hair shedding as our bodies prepare for new growth. To keep hair flowing, try adding some hair growing superfoods to your diet. Here are my four favorite vitamin-packed foods to keep hair growing all year round.

1. Spinach

Not only can eating a handful of spinach clear the brain and help treat eczema, but it is also a rich source of folate, iron, and vitamins A and C, which all promote hair growth. Plant-based iron helps your blood circulate these vital nutrients to be used for hair growth.

2. Sweet Potatoes

Known to nourish the skin and assist the adrenals in hormone balance, sweet potatoes are also wonderful to keep living your best hair life! Yams and sweet potatoes both assist in renewed hair growth by being packed full of vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene. Vitamin A is shown to promote the production of sebum which keeps hair healthy and strong.

3. Avocado

Yum! Another reason to love avocados :) Known to be an excellent source of healthy fats, avocados pack a punch of vitamin E – just one equals 21% of your daily needs. Also a great source of vitamin C, this popular fruit aids in promoting hair growth AND prevents losing hair over time.

4. Oysters

Oysters are one of the best sources of zinc available, and it doesn’t stop there! Getting too much zinc can make hair fall out so eating oysters as your source of this nutrient is better than taking it in vitamin form. When it comes to hair growth, the main nutrients your body is looking for is vitamin B, C, D, E, zinc, and protein. Keep in mind that eating food to receive nutrients is a better source than taking vitamins. Lastly, make sure to stay hydrated with plenty of H2O! Do you have any hair growing secrets?
