Think Twiggy, Cher and Brigette! These beauty icons of the 60's were HOTness personified. Let's speak to the makeup trends that set this decade apart and completely rocked our worlds.

Twiggy

Twiggy was all about the “MOD” (modern look) high fashion makeup with exaggerated black eyeliner, the cut black eyelid crease and, of course, the LASHES!! To achieve her look, she used a white matte eye-shadow to go along with the black crease...a bold look. She wore long, thick and over- the-top lashes on her upper eye-line. For her lower lashes… she PAINTED them on with a liquid liner. OMG...what an ingénue :)) Use the Glad Lash, Lash Em' Liners...you can use both formulas or just stick with either the gel or liquid depending on what works best for you. The “Marilyn” upper strip lashes are perfect for creating this lash look. The “Katie” or “Lopez” will work as well. So. Much. Fun!

Cher

Now let's talk, CHER! What a style and beauty icon of this era! That long black hair alone was FABULOUS! She took the MOD look and ran with it. Heavy black eyeliner from the inner corners of her eyes to the outer corner with a flick. She then did the same thing along her bottom lash line. And her LAHSES...whoa.....long, thick and dramatic! A nude lip was usually paired with these intense eye-luring looks. LOVE.

Brigitte

Finally...our Sexy Brigitte Bardot. Black rimmed eyes and a sultry peachy nude pout. I mean, to this day, her look is on point. Plus her lustrous mane...OOOOOhhhh-La-La. Overall...we saw the popularity of the flicked-out liner become the norm...Eyeliner or Block Mascara from Max Factor was used heavily for eyes...Brows were still groomed and defined with a brow pencil (they could be thin or on the thicker side). Lipstick shades were more Coral/Pinks/Peaches.....AND.... We saw LASHES during this time become more and more of an Every Day accessory- thank god for eyelash extensions, am I right?! But seriously folks...what a time to live! The definition of beauty continued to evolve and transform our minds and uplift our souls. The 1960's Makeup and Beauty GAME was STRONG don't you think?
