Make It Up Monday - Be Eye Beautiful

Being "Eye Beautiful" is all about having FUN with your eye makeup game. Having the right elements to do this is part of the fun, and also makes it a whole lot easier. Glad Lash and GladGirl have some great products to assist you when creating beautiful eye looks. I’m going to share my favorites with you...

Lash Curling

First and foremost, I suggest you curl your lashes. You can do this with Glad Lash's Heated Eyecurl II Hot Brush Eyelash Curler, or with their regular Eyelash Curler. The heated eye curler is perfect and safe for lash extension wearers, and natural lashes. However, the eyelash curler with the rubber pad should only be used with your natural lashes. Both options will give a long lasting curl, and when mascara is applied after, a WOW factor is sure to follow! As a makeup artist, curling your client's lashes is one of the most important actions you can make to help them look more awake, and give the eye its shape. Don't forget this step!

Mascara

The next "eye-piece" in the puzzle is mascara! Here are three that I love to work with:

1. Max2 "Volume Up" Mascara for Eyelash Extensions

This mascara will live up to its name, and bring lashings of volume and drama to both eyelash extensions, and natural lashes - without leaving any damage behind!

2. The GladGirl Lashe EnMasse Mascara for Eyelash Extensions

The Lashe EnMasse Mascara has a dual brush wand that helps you achieve a customized lash look. This specially formulate mascara is great for natural lashes, and eyelash extensions.

3. Xcellent Magic Super Mascara

The Xcellent Magic Super Mascara will ensure your lash extensions have the most voluminous look possible. Just remember, this one is not for use on natural lashes.

Helpful Hint

To get a perfect application, wiggle the mascara wand from the base of the lashes on up. Read my article on how to get the most out of your mascara for more tips.

Brushes

Your lashes are the gateway to your eye look, so don't be afraid to play up your eye shadow colors, or to get daring with your eyeliners. GladGirl has a few instruments that will make applying these makeup products a breeze.

Flat Eyeshadow Brush

Pack on the color with this brush. It is a flat brush, and is meant to be used with dry or wet eye shadow colors. Your eyelids will thank you for making a 'shadow moment' happen!

Blending Crease Eyeshadow Brush

This is a narrow brush that is meant for applying eye shadow into the crease, the outer corners or to blend shadows under the eye. You can use it with powders and creams. Fun!

Duo Angled Brow Brush

This brush is dual-sided. The mascara wand side can be used to brush out your lashes, and the other angled side can easily be used to apply a liquid or cream liner, help out with a cat-eye winged effect, and/or can be used to fill in your eyebrows. Double the fun!

Bent Eyeliner Brush

The Bent Eyeliner Brush creates fine lines with a cream or liquid eyeliner, with simplicity. All of these brushes are synthetic and cruelty free! Let them see YOU for being 'EYE Beautiful'!
