Make It Up Monday - 3 Handy Hints to Avoid Sweat This Summer

Summer Sweat

We are in full SUMMER MODE here - getting tans and holding fans to keep the sweat at bay! Speaking of sweat, let's talk about some ways we can deal with it during these brutally hot Summer days. I know I wish there were some hacks or ways to hinder the sweat, especially on work days when I don't want to deal with it! If you don't travel with a fan in hand or stand under an A/C all day, here are a couple of helpful ideas to keep you from looking like your sweat glands are on overdrive.

Antiperspirant Wipes

Now for some like me, upper lip sweat is a clear sign that your body temp is creeping up. So what do we do if we have an event like a wedding or a speaking engagement or even a date and we don't want this obvious distraction? Well, you can use these wipes called SWEAT Block that are antiperspirant pads or towelettes to keep the droplets away. Fr protection, use them a couple of days prior to the event, at night when going to sleep, and on day of. They are also super travel friendly, so you can use them on the fly. Please consult a doctor before use if you have sensitive skin.

Under Arm Trick

What about the dreaded under arm sweat ring?!? When this happens it's embarrassing particularly on special occasions if you have sleeves on your shirt and you expect an outpouring of sorts. Ugh, if only I did Botox right? Yeah, not really my thing, so I use panty liners. You heard correctly. This is actually an old trick. You put a panty liner under your armpit to absorb any sweat and you don't end up with that weird sweat ring. An easy and great solution!

Feet and Fans

The last couple of ideas are talcum powder around your feet if they sweat easily, and of course a travel fan! If I could have a travel fan attached to my clothes for my face, underarms and other areas, I would be a happy camper. I wouldn't be able to go out in public much but maybe a sacrifice that I would make. LOL. But on the occasion where you can have a compact fan to take out it can be great. Of course, looking like you are in a music video with the wind blowing in your hair can also be a plus! Be a sweat gangster this summer and keep it real... real dry, and real cool!
